"My love for Italy started some time ago when my late husband and I went to Positano for a holiday. We loved the people and the culture and as lovers of opera were totally smitten.

When my husband became ill we used to talk of Italy and how much we enjoyed being there. When he died I went so low that all I could do was try to exist, thoughts of the pleasure that Italy had given us were far, far away.

I rang so many agents and it was when I contacted Karen that my frustrations ended. I rang Karen for further information and met Steve who explained everything. He also showed me the sort of work they do and I was impressed.

After thinking for a short while I rang Steve and Karen and asked them to find me a place in Italy. My friends Frankie and Mike came out with me for a long weekend in Italy where I met Karen and fell in love with La Stalla. On coming home I thought a lot about buying the house and then rang Karen and Steve and said yes.

Selling my house in the UK and going out to Italy on my own with my two dogs was very daunting but Karen and Steve helped every step of the way, they were just superb. Without them I think I may have gone under. I am very grateful to them for giving me the strength and believing in me. This has enabled me to live my life again
