The latest watersports concept has now arrived on the western shore of Lake Como – JetLev Flyer.
A long time in the making, the concept was initially inspired by James Bond’s film Thunderball where he flew with a jetpack. The inventor Raymond Li patiently waited, but found that technology was not developing jetpacks in the way he wanted, so he was determined to create this.
He created JetLev which launched in Spring of this year and this water powered jet pack is now creating a stir on Lake Como. You can learn how to fly the JetLev within 10 minutes, and can then fly anywhere over water with the boat unit which supplies a constant flow of water for power.
The JetLev is lots of fun and will draw astonished crowds as you can reach a height of 8.5 metres and apparently a maximum speed approaching 50 kilometres per hour.
It’s appropriate that it has a home on Lake Como as James Bond films have been shot on and around the lake, in particular using Villa Balbianello as a backdrop for the recent Bond film Casino Royale.
It beats jet skiing any day. To book your fun on the lake, contact Lake Como Watersports. http://lakecomo-watersports.com
Shaun from Lake Como Watersports says ‘It flies up to 47 KPH with its 250 HP jet ski engine. The water pressure is an amazing low 60 psi. It’s also very easy to fly!’
For those who already have everything, including a property on Lake Como, sadly we have been advised that you really cannot use the JetLev on your swimming pool as it won’t be large enough.
